Privacy policy
Last updated 14 October 2026.
This website is a static personal profile. It is built to collect as little as possible.
What this site does not do
- No cookies.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- No third-party fonts, CDNs or embeds — every file is served from this domain.
What is stored on your device
If you switch between light and dark themes, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key theme. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time.
Contact form
When you send a message, the details you enter (name, email address, optional organisation and your message) are emailed to me so I can reply. To protect the form from abuse, your IP address and browser type are included in that email, and a one-way hashed form of your IP address with the time of each submission is stored on the server and deleted automatically within two days. The form’s invisible security check runs in your browser without cookies or third-party services. Messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting conversation.
Server logs
Like any web server, the hosting provider (Hostinger) may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and reliability. These are not used to identify or profile visitors.
If you email contact@vimal.ie, your message is used only to reply to you.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data is held about you and request its deletion. Contact the email address above. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
